WE ARE HONORED WITH THE QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 DIAMOND JUBILE

In In keeping with the tradition of honouring Her Majesty's milestone years of service, a commemorative medal has been created to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty's accession to the Throne. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal also serves to honour the contributions and achievements made by Canadians from all sectors of society.

The president of the Congo Solidario has been selected as a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.   The award ceremony took place in the Boys and Girls Club of East Scarboroug, 100 Galloway Road East on September 8th at noon.

The ceremony was conducted by the Honorable John Mackay, MP  Scarborough, Member of Canadian Parliament. "This was an event to recognise unique contributions from diverse members of our community. Teachers, nurses, and community workers were acknowledged for their selfless contributions to what makes East Scarborough and Canada great. The special contribution made by Madimba Tshibuabua recognised his and Congo Solidario's efforts to help with educational efforts in the Congo while bridging the integration of recent Congolese arrivals into the larger Canadian mosaic."
